Description of Role
A senior role within the Strategy team and a genuine account leadership position. The strategists role is to fuse together strategic understanding of the clients business problems together with creative inspiration and technological brilliance to make that magic.
Strategists play a critical role as a catalyst, consultant and companion to clients every day.
Key Responsibilities: The strategy Director will lead one or two brands and author the Clients’ digital vision and roadmap; stimulating Clients and stakeholders through thought leadership and education; joining up creative and innovative thinking, development and delivery through a hands-on approach throughout a project. Within the department, the Strategy Director will be responsible for junior team members, including mentoring and supporting them across their clients. Mentoring is a must have attribute vital to the continued and collective development of an ambidextrous and multi-skilled team. Showcasing and sharing their talents as well as continue to learn from their peers is key.
Key Skills: Business strategy: experience of working in complex businesses and succeeding by collaborating with Clients to identify the business challenge and inform the role and nature of marketing Integrated/solutions-neutral planning: experience of authoring integrated strategies for genuine cross-platform, multi-discipline as well as 365 marketing
Mobile: Be a leading light in the evangelism of the mobile channel, measuring success and driving upstream client conversations. Help keep the agency ahead of the curve in terms of mobile understanding, new trends and technology from advertising to crm. Offer thought leadership internally and become an industry voice for the agency on mobile technologies, futures, how consumers use them and their practical application. Develop client/agency training programmes.
Client Relationships: forge valued and trusted partnerships with senior Clients so that they – as a consequence The Agency – are indispensible in the Clients success
Leadership: experience of running a team, be a mentor and go-to person within the, fostering the Agency’s image as both a strategic agency and a creative and pioneering community of people
Insight: distil disparate sources of information into crystal clear, inspiring insights at all stages of delivery; highly competent and comfortable with the range of qual and quant methodologies
Facilitation: establishing open relationships with all departments and client stakeholders; facilitating a collaborative process to ensure the consumer experience is at the heart of the output
Creative Development & Execution: improve and own the quality and singularity of briefs, working closely with our creative teams to deliver irresistible campaigns and consistency of output
Effectiveness: proven ability to establish KPIs, define dashboards & oversee real time optimisation
Key KPIs – Organic Business Growth – Overall Utilisation against target

Reports to Head of Strategy
Experience Level 8 years + Educational/ Prof quals expected Graduate minimum. IDM / IPA courses preferred, but not prerequisite.
Compensation Salary: competitive with experience £70k – 80K
