Things are hotting up
End of one financial year. Start of another. Moving to towards Q2. Spring is in the air. And despite the national and international news verging on the apocalyptic the digital, integrated and mobile agency recruitment market seems to be getting busier by the day. Whisper it if you dare – “skills shortage”?
And I’m not the only recruitment consultant saying this at the moment either. So listen up hiring managers and HR teams – looks like once again you will be battling against your competitors for talent in the same way you compete against them for clients. That means behaving accordingly. Interview well, interview thoroughly, don’t string out the interview process over several weeks if you can possibly avoid it because the chances are if you are interested in someone so is another company and remember that “Recruiting is the act of finding the very best person for a job and persuading them to stop doing what they’re doing and come join you.” Seth Godin.
