Dear Mr. Zuckerberg

Many column inches devoted last week to Mark Zuckerburg’s accouncement that Facebook is launching a service which will combine messages, email, instant messages and SMS.  Also in the news recently that Facebook is increasing its ad revenue potential  with the newly launched Places Deals platform allowing  local merchants to promote deals and target people who live in their area.

Hopefully these innovations will also  see improved levels of accurate targeting of consumers available to brands. Because I’m prepared to bet I’m not the only person on FB over a …ahem… certain age…who  doesn’t actually want to be REMINDED of their age (“we’re hip! we’re in the groove! we’re on Facebook!) every time they log on to it.

So please stop serving me ads for Conservatories.
